The amazing moments of birth can never be recreated. Its an event that will change you for the rest of your life. I can see you now, snuggled up with your little ones as you look through your album retelling the story of the day they were born. We all want to know about our beginning and as mothers we want to remember the day we gathered all our strength and pushed with all the love we have to bring our child into our arms.
Photos and films bring you right back to those wonderful intense moments so you never forget what it took as you birthed your child. Photos give you those special moments in time, hitting the pause button to be able to see with new eyes the way your husband looked at you or the strength in your hands as you braced for another wave. And films fill in all the in between moments allowing you to slow down and observe all the movement, energy, and love. You get to hear the sweet cry again and exhale when all the work of labor is finally over. Film is such a powerful way to remember your amazing feat and will be such special gift to your child when they are older.

I will send you sneak peeks about 24 hours after birth so you can share about your sweet babe's arrival. Then your full gallery will be ready approximately in 4-6 weeks for photos or 6-8 weeks for films. When they are ready I will come to you to show you how amazing you are and reveal your photos and film hug you and you can decide if you want any other products like albums or prints.

If we fall in love, we will plan to meet in person where you can pay your $500 retainer to put your guess month on the calendar, sign the contract and schedule your 36 home visit so we can get to know each other more and get a feel for your birth plan and birth space. Final payment is due at 36 weeks unless you have signed up for an extended payment plan.

That is VERY unlikely to happen. When I am on call for you, my phone is on ALL the time and right next to me. And my community of helpers are alwasy at the ready so I can leave as soon as possibl.e. And while I do book multiple births each month, it is VERY rare for 2 moms to go into labor at the same time.
And if you do...I contract with backup photographers to come to you in my stead, They have all your preferences and info and I only work with photographers that I trust will treat you the same way I would. And the best part is they give all the images they take to me so I will be the one editing so your photos will look like I was there the whole time.
For the time being, I will attend any natural births whether at home or in the hospital. While I support everyone's ability to choose how they want to give birth, planned medicated births are not where my heart is.
That being said, I know plans change. So if you are booked with me and you need or decide to make changes to your birth plan, I am 100% with you to the end.
I will come to you when you are in active labor, usually when you are calling your midwife or heading to the hospital is the same time I should come. Typically I stay about 2 hours after your baby is born. I capture golden hour, breastfeeding, and meeting any family members if they are there. Then I give you a hug and let you rest and snuggle in with your new little one.
I do limit the amount of clients that I take each month so I recommend booking as early as possible. Some moms will call me right when they get a positive test and others call weeks before they give birth. As long as I have availability I will be delighted to add you to my calendar but I do recommend calling sooner than later.
It is totally up to you what you want me to capture. Some moms want all the details and others are more interested in only capturing the emotions, connections, and bigger picture. I am great at finding the best angles as locations to capture exactly what you are wanting to remember when you look back at this special journey.
If you are concerned about what I share publicly, I ask every client what they are comfortable with allowing me to share publicly if any so you will get to have the say the whole step of the way what you want captured and shared.
I do! The $500 retainer is due at contract signing to hold your guess date in my calendar. Then the rest is due by 36 weeks. You can pay in whatever payment amount and frequency works for you.
If you think you need more time including after 36 weeks, you can do an extended payment plan up to 1 year after baby is born. I require $1000 to be paid by 36 weeks and the rest can be paid when you can. I do not edit any images or footage until the full amount has been paid and then your birth will be added to me editing queue.
No, I am passionate about giving you the best of me and photographer and doula are very different roles in birth. While as your photographer, I will also hold space, offer encouragement, and be there to help occasionally if needed and wanted, the brain space of each role is wildly different and I fell that I can not do a good job at either when trying to do both. That being said, when I am acting as a doula, I can bring my camera to snap a few photos if you aren't needing me in that moment but the quality and quantity of the photos are very limited so I only charge for them if I am able to capture enough and it is not a dependable amount.

I can't wait to show you how strong and capable you are, how loved and cherished you are, and how you can overcome hard things and turn them into beautiful things. You've got this mama!
